This talk discusses PostgreSQL as a building block of distributed data environments, the challenges and solutions that these provide. It includes a discussion of some existing solutions, how they address these challenges, and the tradeoffs involved.
In particular we discuss Bagger from OneMoreData, Citus, and GreenPlum.
