In this session, we will share an update on Wikidata's goals and its role in the future of Linked Open Data web.
In 2024, Wikidata is arguably the world's largest open data knowledge graph, with more than 100m data items. It is also the most edited Wikimedia project, with about 25,000 active editors per month. However, not everyone is entirely clear about the role of Wikidata and its vision in the greater linked open data world.
In this session, we will share Wikidata's goals and its role in our future vision of Linked Open Data, and how members of the open-source community can participate and contribute to this vision.
