VLC 4.0 and Beyond: Advancements in Open-Source Media Player Technology
The long awaited 4.0 version of VLC Media Player brings significant enhancements and changes which are still delaying its release. Lots of internal rework have been made and a new UX interface will offer an intuitive and modern design.
We will also review some new player API and platforms, offering a powerful, flexible, and open-source media player, empowering developers to create new and innovative products and services that can better serve the needs of users.
Additionally, future support for WebAssembly will allow easy embedding into web-based applications, providing a seamless media playback experience across different browsers and operating systems.
